99, intervention?
"Yoona-ah—!"
When the sound came from afar, Kim Tae-yeon had already taken small steps and hurried over.
Today she wore a light apricot-colored knitted cardigan over a white top, paired with dark skinny jeans and white sneakers.
The light color of her outfit made her look like a warm, fluffy cotton candy, making her already petite figure appear even more delicate. A few strands of hair slipped from her ears and brushed against her fair cheeks. Her small, palm-sized face, accentuated by the soft neckline, revealed her unguarded innocence.
Like tender buds just sprouting on branches in early spring, so soft that one dares not breathe too hard.
Kim Tae-yeon naturally took Im Yoon-ah's arm.
"Unnie deliberately didn't tell you she was coming to visit the set today, are you happy?"
"I'm very happy," Yoona replied with a sweet smile.
But she had some doubts in her heart.
She usually tells us in advance when she's coming to visit the set, so why is it so sudden today? And she shouldn't know Li Jingcheng is coming today... Did someone in the crew tell her? Or did he just happen to be passing by?
She suppressed these thoughts and didn't reveal them.
Kim Tae-yeon's gaze naturally shifted to Lee Kyung-sung standing next to Im Yoon-ah, paused for a moment, and asked with some curiosity, "Who is this?"
Yoona rolled her eyes inwardly. What's with the act? You were just looking for me yesterday, asking me to introduce you to Jingcheng. Now that he's standing right in front of you, you're putting on an act.
But she didn't show it on her face, trying hard to keep her composure. "This is Li Xuan—Li Jingcheng."
"Hello, I'm Li Jingcheng," Li Jingcheng said, carefully looking her over. "Nice to meet you, please take care of me."
She does resemble Eun Tae-yeon and Dong Tae-yeon quite a bit, but it's not actually that exaggerated.
Don't you use honorifics?
Kim Tae-yeon seemed to just realize something, "Oh—you look better in person than on TV. Congratulations, your debut drama's viewership rating broke 50%!"
"Thank you," Li Jingcheng smiled, "You're...very beautiful too."
He said that, but he was actually a little confused. Putting everything else aside, just based on the 50% viewership rating of "The Moon Embracing the Sun," and with the series still going strong, he's definitely the most talked-about celebrity in the entire Korean entertainment industry.
Kim Tae-yeon mentioned his work, so it's impossible she doesn't know him. But since she was so enthusiastic, I put my doubts aside for the time being.
It can only be said that flattery will never be rejected.
Kim Tae-yeon noticed his change, smiled, and naturally turned to chat with Im Yoon-ah.
"Everyone's been busy lately," Kim Tae-yeon complained. "Yoona, you've joined a film crew, and Yuri is filming too. Although we haven't moved out, we rarely go back to the dorms anymore. Everyone has their own schedules, so it's hard to even get together for a meal."
She sighed, "Most importantly, when I finally have some time off, there's no one I can find to go out with."
At first, Yoona was listening very attentively, but her attention was instantly drawn back to this sentence, and she immediately grasped the key point—"no one is with her."
This statement struck her as odd. She subconsciously glanced at Li Jingcheng's profile, seeing his natural expression and nothing unusual, and began to wonder if she was overthinking things.
But then I thought about all of Kim Tae-yeon's behavior so far, such as visiting the set without prior notice, striking up conversations while pretending not to know her, and saying things that are easy to find strange.
Im Yoona went through these details in her mind and then came to a conclusion.
Kim Tae-yeon came today, and her intentions are not good.
But she didn't show it on her face, and just smiled and said, "Unnie, isn't it good to have rest? When I had a lot of schedules before, sometimes I would have events back and forth, and I would only get an hour of sleep a day. Back then, I didn't even have time to rest."
Kim Tae-yeon smiled and didn't continue the topic.
Yoona changed the subject with a smile and said, "But unnie, if neither of us has time, and you want to go out with someone, you can ask Kim Kibum. Anyway, you two are known as best friends with an older sister-younger brother relationship by fans, so you're not afraid of being photographed."
She spoke casually, as if she were offering advice.
After hearing this, Kim Tae-yeon's expression didn't change much, but she was already thinking to herself, "Good grief, is Yoona playing this trick on me? She and Kim Ki-bum are just friends, and do you believe I'll tell you about Lee Seung-gi?"
But Kim Tae-yeon didn't show it on her face. She just smiled and said with a hint of regret, "It's a rare vacation. Since we're going to go out and travel, of course we should find someone we're closer to."
After she finished speaking, her gaze drifted gently to Li Jingcheng. Seeing that there was nothing unusual on his face, but rather a hint of curiosity, as if he hadn't quite understood what they were talking about, she breathed a slight sigh of relief.
Li Jingcheng didn't quite understand what he was hearing.
He stood to the side, watching Yoona and Taeyeon chat back and forth. It sounded like ordinary sisters having a casual chat, but he felt that the atmosphere was a little strange.
But he couldn't quite put his finger on what was strange about it. He just felt that the rhythm of their conversation was off. It was as if they were talking about the weather on the surface, but there was another layer of conversation floating beneath the surface that he couldn't hear.
Lee Kyung-sung glanced at Im Yoon-ah and then at Kim Tae-yeon, but didn't say anything, intending only to listen quietly.
Actually, this is quite interesting.
Upon hearing Kim Tae-yeon's reply, Lim Yoon-a narrowed her eyes slightly, completely certain of what had happened.
But she didn't press further, a natural smile on her face, and casually changed the subject, "By the way, unnie, have you finished recording all the OSTs for this month?"
Kim Tae-yeon continued, "Not yet, but they should notify us in the next few days."
The two chatted back and forth as if nothing had happened.
After a while, Kim Tae-yeon turned to Lee Kyung-sung and asked with natural curiosity, "By the way, Kyung-sung-ssi, I heard that you studied in the United States before returning to Korea after graduation, right? How did you and Yoona meet?"
"Yes, I met her when I came back."
A slightly embarrassed smile crept onto Li Jingcheng's face. He recalled the incident at Nanshan Mountain—he was still a bit naive when he first transmigrated, which led him to do something like that.
He turned his head and couldn't help but glance at Lim Yoona.
Yoona was thinking the same thing, a smile appearing on her face, but her gaze pierced him like a knife, as if to say, "Look what you've done."
She spoke before he could, "We met in Nanshan two months ago."
Kim Tae-yeon noticed the brief but knowing glance between the two, and her gaze swept suspiciously between them. She didn't seem to care much about Namsan.
She noticed that Lee Kyung-sung called "Yoona" very naturally, not in a forced way, but because he genuinely used it often. And when Im Yoon-a heard this address, she didn't react at all, seemingly because she was used to it.
But Kim Tae-yeon also remembered a detail—Im Yoon-a was born on May 30, 1990, and Lee Kyung-sung was born on June 7, 1990. According to Korean age reckoning, Lee Kyung-sung is younger than Im Yoon-a, and he should call her noona. But to this day, she has never called her noona; she has always called her Yoon-a. And Im Yoon-a has never corrected her, not even once.
Kim Tae-yeon concluded that the two were close, but probably not yet at the point of being together. Furthermore, throughout the entire relationship, Im Yoon-a did not have any intimate contact with Lee Kyung-sung.
Besides Lee Kyung-sung calling Yoon-ah...
She began to scrutinize Li Jingcheng carefully. Her method of judging people was consistent—first, she looked at his build, especially his shoulders. The shoulders should be broad and well-defined, neither too narrow nor too broad.
Li Jingcheng had a very stable shoulder line, and then she glanced down at his proportions. His waistline was neatly defined, his legs were long, and he wasn't thin overall. Her gaze finally settled on his face. His features were regular, his contours were well-defined, and his smile was refreshing, giving off a gentle feeling.
Kim Tae-yeon went through it in her mind and confirmed that these points were all within her aesthetic range.
She silently recited it in her mind.
He asked Yoona to introduce him before, but she said he was busy with his schedule and then nothing came of it.
Unnie asked you so many times, but you wouldn't give an answer. Now that you've run into her on your own initiative, and Unnie has been chatting with you for so long, and she even called you Yoona, but you still haven't given any response—so you can't blame Unnie.
And Yoona, I can tell that you and Kyungsung aren't really together yet. You're just in the dating stage. Maybe you haven't thought it through yet, or maybe I just came too suddenly and you weren't prepared.
But whatever the reason, if you didn't play your card, you can't blame Unnie for making the first move.
Besides, Taeyeon has been in the industry for so many years, it's time for her to enjoy her youth. You wouldn't want your Taeyeon unnie to find her own happiness, would you?
Moreover, Unnie is only getting to know Kyung-sung first; whether they are compatible or will be together is still a long way off.
She exhaled softly, putting those thoughts aside, and wore a natural smile on her face.
She took out her phone, her eyelashes drooping slightly, casting a soft shadow under her eyes. A faint, cautious expectation flickered in her gaze. "Jingcheng, would it be convenient to exchange contact information?"
Lee Kyung-sung was taken aback for a moment, and subconsciously glanced at Lim Yoon-ah first. Lim Yoon-ah neither nodded nor shook her head, and her expression did not change much.
So he took out his phone and exchanged contact information with Kim Tae-yeon.
Kim Tae-yeon put away her phone, smiled at Im Yoon-ah, and waved to Lee Kyung-sung.
"Then I'll be going now, I won't bother you any longer."
She turned and left, her steps light and quick, as if she were truly just passing by.
Who said Kim Tae-yeon has no acting skills?
Im Yoona stood there, silent. After a while,
She turned around, her tone the same as usual, but it sounded a little cold. "Let's go, let's go sit in the lounge."
"it is good."
Lee Kyung-sung followed behind her, his mind wandering. When Kim Tae-yeon asked for her contact information earlier, Im Yoon-a hadn't stopped her. Maybe it was because Tae-yeon was her leader and a close friend.
Looking back on their conversation, it does seem a bit strange now.
At last,
He glanced down at the newly saved number on his phone screen, then turned off the screen and put it in his pocket.
